This is one of my favorite races. I just wish this year it was on a Sunday. The course runs around Montrose and south.
The shirt is extra soft (not a tech shirt, but a nice quality cotton shirt). There are a TON of goodies for your dog there too. Also having dogs everywhere is a plus if you are a dog lover. The race is well organized and the proceeds go to a great cause.
Parking is easy. Watch for Groupons on this race too.

This was my first half marathon. I ran the inaugural race in 2012. The course was challenging, partially because of the cold and rain. The hills and cobblestone were not favorites of mine, but it added to the race. I loved running through Milwaukee and the neighborhoods.
Parking was a breeze. The race started late because of the weather. I would rather have that than either not start at all or start during the storms. Running through the stadium was the highlight for me. It is nice for spectators as well. My mom could sit inside and watch other runners come through while she waited for me.
I was so overjoyed to be done. Running that race made me hungry for more. I am not sure when I will get back up to WI to run it. I recommend it to anyone in WI or someone looking for a new view other than the Chicago Lakefront.
Race staff was so helpful. After race food was good. They even had milk which always makes me happy.

This is a relatively small race. I think there are more walkers than runners which is okay. Runners start first. I you are looking for a PR in a non congested race in the Milwaukee area this one is for you. There are a lot of families out on the course. After the run the food was good and plentiful. Lots of vendors after the race for a smaller run.
The course is pretty, there is one slight incline near the end.
Parking at Miller Park is always easy that is a huge plus. Bathrooms are in abundance.
Hank Aaron usually makes an appearance too.

This was my first race outside of ones I ran in high school track.
I loved it. I had a blast. The shirts were cheesy, but that's okay. Post race food was decent, I remember a banana, cookies, beer (I didn't eat the hot dog). It was surreal being on the field at Miller Park. I probably wouldn't make a special trip home for this race. I would recommend it to anyone in the Milwaukee area looking for a fun 5k.
