You know....This isn't a bad race.
After much deliberation, I would consider doing this again.
The Expo:
It's about average. There were a few booths and vendors. Nothing to write home about, but not just get your bib and go.
Swag:
About average. I still use the mug they gave us.
The Course:
This is a one loop marathon, it's relatively flat. The few up hills aren't bad, it's just the time I ran was 110 degrees. And a few of the aid stations ran out of water.
This is about average for races. I feel it was a race that was probably a small town race that got big quickly. The spectators were friendly, there is a DJ at mile 16 or 17.
The first few miles the water is in view and the last few miles the water is in view because you're running through parks which was nice. The middle bit is around corn fields.
The Finish Festival
I feel it was a bit better than average. There was music and beer and refreshments. you finish on the water which is nice. To be honest, if I wasn't so destroyed at the end I would probably find the finish line enjoyable.

This was a neat race. It was early enough in the year to be cool enough to enjoy and not get dehydrated.
There was plenty of course support in case you needed something
The long (long) stretch between turns was both scenic and torturous because it never seemed to end; but the emerald green water was within sight the whole way.
This was mostly flat but the bridge felt like a mountain even though it was just an overpass
The finish festival was cute because it was in the main shopping area and wrapped through the shops.
I would do this race of they have it again.
