So I ran the 5k, which was a new option this year. Glad they had it, because this was my first race after recovering from my hip issue. Overall it went well, let me tell you about it.

Email communication was great, not too much, but knew where to go to park and get my bib. Parking was great, they have you park at a local mall and they bus you to the starting area, really well done and quick. The bib pick up was easy and checking my sweatshirt was easy and they had bags for you to use if you didn't bring your own. There is plenty of space to stretch out and do warm ups before the race, which is really nice.

The race itself was great, some rolling hills, but nothing crazy and the views are so nice, such a beautiful area to run through, especially in the fall. The roads were closed with plenty of volunteers and police officers. There were 2 water stops along the way which for a 5k is nice. The last 1/2 mile is ALL DOWN HILL, you read that right, all down hill, which is so so nice.

After the race there was plenty of water and treats. I don't drink beer myself, but it looked like they had plenty for everyone. They then bus you back to your car, so nice so easy.

This race is very well run and I would very much do it again, maybe actually do the half

In my big goal to run a race in every state, I picked this as my Georgia race. I have a friend who lives in Atlanta, so I had free lodging which is always nice. This race matched up with my training so I decided to give it a go.

Bib pick up was easy, it was at the local Road Runner store which was only about 15 minutes from where my friend lives. I was one of the first ones in, so it was super quick and every there was super nice.

Race morning, my friend dropped me off, and even though it was dark the start area was easy to find. Baggage check was easy and then I just hung out. Plenty of portopotties, big + . I got lined up and we took off, the race is nice, goes through some cool areas and you get to see some lovely old houses and some cool art. The roads are not totally closed, but there are TONS of cops out to keep you safe and I did my best to thank all of them. Around mile 9 you end up on a bike trail which was super cool though super busy with non race people, so that was a bit of a pain, but the art all along it was nice to look at.

The medal was cool and plenty of food and drinks at the end. I didn't stay long at the after race as my friend was waiting and we went out to breakfast. But getting my bag was smooth and easy and plenty of water.

I liked this race, could fix some things, like maybe closing off the trail to just us, but other then that, I thought it was well done and would recommend it to others

I really cannot express in words, how well run this race is. So many volunteers tons of signs, amazing.

First off Bib pick up, is at Cape Elizabeth High School, plenty of volunteers to help you park, no waiting for my number, Dunkin and LL bean gift cards a cool shirt and poster, overall great.

Race morning, many parking areas with buses to take you the start, plenty of signs to find parking areas, and TONS of buses to get everyone there. Once at the start lines, tons of water, gatorade, snacks and sunscreen and bug spray. Also plenty of room to sit and relax while you wait if you get there super early like I did

The race course if beautiful, woods and water and the locals come out to cheer you on, lots of great signs and people spraying hoses. Plenty of water stops and no waiting for water. The course is not flat, but nothing crazy

After party is in a beautiful park with lots of food and water and ice cream.

This race is amazing and if you can do it, do it you will not regret it

I ran the 5 and Dime (2 races in one day a 5k and a 10K) For that you get 3 medals, so that is cool.

Parking a bib pick up were a breeze, everything is well run and very smooth getting to everything, didn't wait at all. I did get there extra early just in case, but, probably didn't need to. The women got tech Ts, they are ok, nothing amazing.

The races are self seed, I HATE SELF SEED!!! I also end up running around walkers, which annoys me to no end, but whatever it happens. The race course is nice, fairly shady and just a very pretty neighborhood to run through, some hills, but nothing crazy, but makes for a more interesting race, it isn't too easy but not too crazy hard.

After party is fun, lots of things to see, Yasso Bars, are always nice to have after a race. There was also free beer (I don't drink beer my boyfriend said it was very tasty) There are kid races for all ages, and then their is the celebrity mile, which was just really fun to watch and inspiring too. I would recommend all stay around and watch it, nice end to the day.

I really enjoyed the races, they are well run and overall it was a really great time, my boyfriend also had a blast and he doesn't say that about many races. I would definitely do this one again

This year, I will say, I had less walkers in front of me, and that was great. But it was hot, and the aid stations all had warm water, so that wasn't pleasant. Overall the race is fun, nice course, cool medal and always enjoy seeing the elite runners pass by, that is my favorite thing. I do think they should have a smaller amount of people do this race, it stays very crowded throughout almost the whole race and I almost got run over by someone, more space would be nice
