In my goal to race all 50 states this was my Iowa race and I picked a good one. To start for both the expo and race, they have free parking areas where you can park and then they bus you to the expo and race. I used that and it was great, saved me some money and trying to navigate a city I don't know.

The expo isn't big but it is nice and well run. Still some stuff to see there and the bib/shirt pick up is easy and smooth. The downtown area where the expo is has plenty to see and do after.

The race is hilly, like very hilly, and it is in July so it is hot, so I wouldn't go into this race trying to get a PR but you can enjoy it still. The city of Davenport comes out for this race, tons of people out there cheering everyone on. Lots of hoses and water guns and people handing out Popsicles. There were plenty of aid stations and they all had plenty of cold water.

The afterparty is big plenty of food and water and plenty of room to walk around and not be squished.

The medals are really nice and so are the race shirts. Overall I really enjoyed this race, and would recommend it

Run Madtown, was a great race experience, the city, and race everything was just really great.

The expo is small, but nice and still some shopping to do, got my number quickly and easily also there is plenty of parking, you should have no issue with that. The city of Madison is really easy to walk around and on Saturday there was a farmers market, so after getting my bib I went and hung out there.

Race morning, parking, again, easy, plenty of garages to choose from. The start line is easy to find and plenty of portopotties. Bag check was quick and easy then getting into the start corral was easy. The course itself is really nice, mostly road running, but the end is on a bike trail. The roads are not all closed, but I always felt safe, plenty of volunteers and plenty of police officers to make sure you could run safely and people could still get around the city. We ran through the aboratorium which was really nice and kinda peaceful, though the hill when you got of it, was HUGE, so beware of that. There was plenty of water stations and tons of volunteers to hand you cups, The whole course is quite nice and only the beginning was crowded.

Overall this is a really well run race, and I would recommend it for a great way to see Madison.

A race starting and ending at a brewery, yes please, also my BF was excited to hang out there when I went to run. Getting to the brewery is super easy and there is plenty of parking, but the earlier you get there the better.

Bib pick up was easy, and I got a nice pint glass and tech shirt (long sleeved) then we hung around until race time.

Race started at 3, which is odd, but they shut down the place for just the runners and their friends so that is super nice. The course itself was pretty hilly and being near the Ocean you do get your gusts of wind. The roads were open, but I felt safe overall, plenty of cops out and lots of volunteers.

The after party was great, all runners get a drink and some chowder or chili (I had a cider, it was delicious). Overall I would recommend this race, nice small race and per my BF the beer is really good I recommend the cider

This is a great small race, and is part of the RAW Series (Race Around Waltham)

The race starts and ends at John Brewers Tavern (and if you have friends they can get discounted food and drinks while they wait for you) They also set up parking at the Gore residence and some street parking is still available. You can pick up your bib at John Brewers as well.

This race is for Charity and it all goes to Cancer research which is a cause I can always run for. The race is mildly hilly but nothing crazy and well marked with plenty of volunteers. There was plenty of water and free beer after and you can also buy raffle tickets to win some great prices, again, all money goes to fund cancer research. I would highly recommend this race to anyone

This is a really well done race. The Expo is easy to get to and traverse, it isn't huge but there is stuff to see and getting you big and swag is very easy. Race morning is again, easy to get to, and they had the school opened up so we could stay inside (it was in the 30s race morning) which was nice. Marathoners take off first, then the half marathoners go off 15 minutes later. There is still some clustering at the beginning but overall it spread out quickly. You get to run around the Citadel, then along the cost and see the Ocean and the beautiful old houses, really pretty. After that you run through downtown which is fun and you get to see more beautiful old houses. After that you do run through an industrial area, not pretty but not horrible. There is one hill, yes one, over a bridge and that is it, it is pretty much all flat.

The after party is nice, and in a big park so you can move around. We got free shrimp and grits which were delicious. Also you got 2 free beers if you wanted, that is nice.

Overall, I really enjoyed this race, it is smaller, and not a ton of crowd support but I still really enjoyed it. I ran with the 2:45 pacers and they were excellent with keeping the pace and fun to chat with.

I would highly recommend this race if you are looking for something in South Carolina, also make for a great winter race if you are looking to get away from the snow.
