When they say this is the Friendliest race they are not kidding, this is so well run. The expo is a smaller one, but still lots to see. Bib pick up is smooth and easy and the place it is held has a TON of parking.
Race morning, again with the parking, TONS of it, you should have no issue getting a place to park. The corrals are very well marked and there are plenty of portopotties. They use the UPS trucks for baggage check, though I did not use it, it looked like it was going smoothly.

The race itself is great, you run through the neighborhoods, and there are people out all over, giving you candy, water, just cheering you on. You go over a few bridges and the wind can be a bit much, but the views are awesome. Also you run along the James River and man, just stunning. Also, their are bands or DJs all over the race, so you get plenty of music throughout.

The finish is in a nice park, with plenty of room to get around and lots of food to get. They even have yoga for you stretch out. They also have buses that take you back to the start line if that is where you parked. Also, not only do you get a medal, you get a blanket, which is so nice and a different finisher thing to get.

I loved this race, it is so well run and I would recommend it to everyone

Yes this race is hilly, so it is a tough race, but man the views, really do make it worth it.

Registering was fine, bib pick up was great and easy to get to (once I read the site correctly and went to the correct place but that is my bad) The race itself, getting there was easy and they were very ready to help with parking, which there was plenty of. And even where you park is pretty. It was a nice day so people were checking out all the views, and there are many where it starts and ends. Race was kinda rushed at the start, but everyone got out. The hills started pretty much right away, and it was hotter than I expected but alas, that has been this summer. When you get to mile 3, you get an amazing view of the Pell Bridge, stunning. The roads are not closed, so it is a bit tight, but they had plenty of water stops and overall I felt pretty safe running out there. I would recommend the race for the views alone, I would do it again just to visit the island

Overall, I liked this race, it was well run, the course was tough, lots of hills and couple of them were VERY steep. The views were amazing, I found that I was very well informed about everything pertaining to the race. The app worked well and people were able to track me. And the park where the after party was, was beautiful with lots of space to hang out and stretch. Plenty of portopotties and other then a few spots I generally did not feel squished with people.

I know they are pricey races, but I thought this one was great, and it was a great travel race. Also, Seattle is an awesome city to visit, tons to do and lots of great food

First off, if you want to run this race for time, MAKE SURE you are in one of the first corrals, if you aren't then just be prepared to walk. But I really recommend doing this as a fun race, cause OMG it is so much fun. It is a 7.5 mile party, the costumes are on point, there are tons of naked people (yes naked) and the houses along the route throw huge parties. Then you run through Golden Gate park to finish, and while there are less spectators, the views are amazing, it is a gorgeous park. If you are going to run a race in Cali, you should really do this one, you will not be disappointed and you will have some great photos and stories to tell.

I got very lucky with the race this year, as it was peak bloom during the race, and OMG was it beautiful. The race starts and ends in the front the Washington Monument. And that is about where is everything it set up (bag check porto potties and such) but part of the area was closed off this year. so things were a bit far away from the start. It was cold, about 34 degrees at the start, but the sun did come out, so running was actually nice, you were just really cold waiting in the corrals. The route is really nice, not very hilly, pretty flat, but you are always with a crowd, so just be prepared for that. You get to run by monuments and see all the blossoms, we even saw a bride and groom getting pictures done. I would recommend this race, plus a weekend in DC is just great, so much to see and do there, you won't be bored
