A fun way to get a taste of what a tri race is like. This indoor tri is set up at Lifetime Fitness (numerous locations around the country hold the races on the same day). Each participant has a 10 minute swim, 30 minute indoor cycle ride and 20 min treadmill run. Stats are collected for each leg to provide the results. If you are thinking about doing a tri or just want a little off season training this is a great way to "tri" it out. Race was well organized and divided into small waves. Nice t shirt and bathing cap provided. I would definitely do it again!

The Jingle All The Way is fast, flat and festive 5k down the iconic Pennsylvania Avenue towards the Capitol Building. The course is flat and slightly downhill at times. This race draws runners in festive holiday costumes which adds to the fun. Race packets can be picked up in advance at some of the Pacer's locations or on race day. I picked up my packet on race morning with a minimum line. The race t shirt was not as festive this year but other than that a great course for a PR and very family friendly.
