I have created a running website named www.askrunguy.com based on having run over 100 half marathons, including all fifty US states and several other countries; and several full marathons, with a goal of running all six World Major marathons. Below is a template for comments for my rating each race:

Race: Louisiana Half Marathon 2013 Baton Rouge, LA
Race Type / Terrain (road, trail): paved roads and park trails around Baton Rouge
Organization (Size, Expo, volunteers, start / finish): . Very nice expo and organization
Support (fans, music on course): Decent support. You run by nice lakes and neighborhoods
Course Scenery: Pretty places to run including along a river
Course Difficulty: Pretty flat; not too challenging
Weather / Temperature: not to hot; decent weather
Course location recreation (sights, things to do): Several fun history things to see and do
Logistics (Getting to the race site): easy from Baton Rouge airport
Swag (medal, t-shirt, other items for finishers): nice medal, shirt, and poster
Food and drink (on course and after finish): Sufficient food and drink during and after race

"Las Vegas Half Marathon 2012 Las Vegas, NV"

Race: Las Vegas Half Marathon 2012 Las Vegas, NV
Race Type / Terrain (road, trail): paved streets in center of Vegas Strip / Casino area
Organization (Size, Expo, volunteers, start / finish): Huge expo for this Rock & Roll race. Lots of runners
Support (fans, music on course): Not that much support on the course. Logistics of start were very long and challenging to get to start.
Course Scenery: Got to run down the casino strip at night, which was a lot of fun
Course Difficulty: Pretty flat, but quite warm
Weather / Temperature: Warm and humid
Course location recreation (sights, things to do): Always lots of things to do in Las Vegas
Logistics (Getting to the race site): Easy access via Vegas airport
Swag (medal, t-shirt, other items for finishers): Fairly nice medal and shirt
Food and drink (on course and after finish): Food and water on course were okay, not great.

Race: Myrtle Beach Half Marathon 2012 Myrtle Beach, SC
Race Type / Terrain (road, trail): paved road fairly close to the ocean in Myrtle Beach
Organization (Expo, volunteers, start / finish): Well organized. Lots of fun
Support (fans, music on course): Nice support from fans, good water stops along the race. .
Course Scenery: Pretty city and parks near the ocean
Course Difficulty: quite easy. Pretty flat and fast course, with several turns.
Weather / Temperature: Weather seemed nice and cool. Almost perfect
Course location recreation (sights, things to do): Nice areas to view on around Myrtle Beach ocean
Logistics (Getting to the race site): Easy travel from Myrtle Beach airport
Swag (medal, t-shirt, other items for finishers): Nice medal and finisher shirt.
Food and drink (on course and after finish): Food and drink on course is fine, and refreshments provided afterward are above average.

Race: Amica Newport half marathon 2012 Newport, RI
Race Type / Terrain (road, trail): paved roads throughout Newport and along Atlantic Ocean
Organization (Expo, volunteers, start / finish): Expo was small but was inside out of cold
Support (fans, music on course): A few people on course. Hard to navigate for fans, supporters
Course Scenery: nice scenery especially running by Newport mansions and along the Atlantic Ocean
Course Difficulty: Not too difficult. Some rolling hills, some wind and rain along the oceanside
Weather / Temperature: Was quite cool, damp, foggy on race day
Course location recreation (sights, things to do): Many pretty things to see around the Newport / ocean area
Logistics (Getting to the race site): Newport is drivable from local larger airports
Swag (medal, t-shirt, other items for finishers): Nice t-shirt and medal
Food and drink (on course and after finish): Sufficient water stops and food after race

Race: BAA Half Marathon 2012 Boston, MA
Race Type / Terrain (road, trail): paved roads around Emerald Lakes in Boston
Organization (Expo, volunteers, start / finish): Great! Put on by Boston Athletic Association – same people as Boston Marathon.
Support (fans, music on course): Strong support from fans and bands along the course and at finish
Course Scenery: Nice scenery within the city including parks, lakes, zoo.
Course Difficulty: A little bit challenging with difficult hills at the end
Weather / Temperature: Nearly ideal weather. Cool but sunny fall day
Course location recreation (sights, things to do): So many fun things to see and do in Boston
Logistics (Getting to the race site): Easy to get to race via Boston airport
Swag (medal, t-shirt, other items for finishers): Very nice medal and shirt, with BAA unicorn theme.
Food and drink (on course and after finish): Food and drink on course is fine, and refreshments provided afterward are good.
