Had an amazing time this year! This race is always a blast! From packet pickup to the finish line there’s never been an issue and the course is just challenging enough interlacing in one of Louisville’s beautiful parks & then heads back downtown for that city flare. Great medal-great swag-great after party!

I have ran the Kentucky Derby Festival miniMarathon/Marathon 8 times now! I am from Louisville and Derby time around here is amazing! My favorite way to celebrate the Derby is to run this race every year. The 13.1 course is flat and fast and runs through Churchill Downs where you can catch a glimpse of some horse racing contenders working out. Very well organized and the after party is always an true PARTY! If you spring for the VIP package you will not regret that. You get private changing areas/restrooms as well as a mimosa/bourbon bar with breakfast served. SO YUM! I recommend KDF everywhere I go!

Indy Women’s Half will go down in the memory book for sure. I drove from Louisville to Indy the night before the race so we parked locally at our hotel. We were within walking distance of the expo and start line. I was a little disappointed in the expo as it was smaller than I was hoping, but I do believe this race is still growing and that will grow as time goes on. The weather was perfect the entire race but note that this part of the USA- we can get hot and humid OR cool and crisp in September. Weather is a toss up in the Midwest y’all. Indianapolis is such a beautiful and clean city. The course scenery is nothing to write home about once you’re out of the city portion but you do loop back around to finish beneath the skyline. The finishers medal was PERFECTION and you also get a rose to celebrate being a female runner. Has a great time in Indy!

There is a reason The Flying Pig Marathon is one of the “Runners World Magazine” top marathons to do. From the amazing large expo, to the corralled runners about to begin, you get a party vibe before you start running. Every mile has a themed stop that pertains to the race. I like to call them pun stops as they play off the word pig. This was my first Marathon and I’m so happy I chose this super fun, party themed 26.2 trek. Absolutely recommend this to ALL!

I truly loved being a part of this race as so many women toed the line to run 13.1 miles. This course loops Central Park twice so if you’re looking for NYC scenery this wouldn’t be the go to choice. Half of the course declines and half inclines so you’ll experience that type of course twice. I gave low parking ratings for a reason, it’s NYC people LOL. The expo was small but unique, packet pickup was on historic 5th Avenue. This was in a clean and crowded portion of NYC but that was one of the reasons I chose this race. T-shirt needed some work- it ran small and was cotton, but the medal was a great add to my collection!
