I ran the Flying Pig Half Marathon in May 2019. This was on my race radar but executed when I won a FREE registry on Instagram! This was my first out of town Half Marathon and it exceeded all of my expectations. From the expo, to the Finish Swine! This was also the largest race I have ever been a part of but everything was done beautifully! Asics brand shirts, which run pretty small, especially the women's cut options. The medals are top notch quality but they cannot be engraved as there is detail on front and back. The aid stations, volunteers, and spectators were amazing! There was an aid station almost every 1-2 miles with snacks, Honey Stinger Gels, vasoline, wet papertowels, candy...anything you could possibly want or need, was on that course! I heard the marathoners even got bacon! There were real pigs out there too which was adorable and of course I had to get a picture with! 10/10 would definitely run again!

I have ran the KDF Mini Marathon twice now and I'm already registered for 2020! Such an awesome race at the best time of the year for Kentucky! Super flat, scenic course and you get to run through Churchill Downs and even see some horses! How cool is that? There's always a theme to the race so the medals and shirts will reflect that. The medals are always so impressive and can be engraved! There's lots of post race fun with food, powerade, chocolate milk, merchandise, and a fun PR bell! Crowd support is fun with this one as well as you run through the University of Louisville's campus so you'll see some partiers out there cheering you on! Definitely add this to your race schedule for a fun 13.1 or 26.1 miles! Coming for ya in 2020!

I don't even know where to start with this AMAZING race. In 2017, the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon was my first half so it holds a special place in my heart. Enjoying it the 2nd time around was even sweeter (as I was much more prepared). Let's start with the swag! THOSE MEDALS THOUGH! Amazing spinner medals featuring a Jim Beam Bottle with unique bourbon barrel detail. The shirt this year has been by far my favorite race shirt to date. Black long sleeve tech shirt featuring the outline of the state of Kentucky. It's something I will always be proud to wear! The course is almost as beautiful as the amazing volunteers along the course! The post party will definitely keep you around after to celebrate. FREE beer, BOURBON, pizza, and burgoo! Such an amazing, local race! You must put this on your race list ASAP!!!
