I feel that they cater to the half marathoners for the rock and roll. it was blazing hot, finished at 93 degrees. The aid stations were adding salt to the gator-aide that was at outside temps. it was disgusting. they started the race 15 min earlier to combat the temps but it should have been 1 hour earlier.

Once the Half marathoners split off it felt like so did the sponsorship of rock and roll. although the course was amazing views

The medal was cool. The shirt was 3 sizes too big.

I would not recommend this race.

Make sure you have a good qualifiying time before running this race. otherwise you will be in a very slow corral. I was in corral B with all those serious runners which was great because i had no line to take pictures with all the characters. Buy the photo pass for the weekend it will all link up. my sister in law was in corral k and she started like an hour after me and said there was 30 to 50 people inline for photos at each stop. its like a mile walk to the start so check a bag with warm cloths

PARKING IS HORRIBLE I MEAN ITS BAD ....probably the worst thing about the race

Well organized from beginning to end. that was the biggest take away from the race.
the course has moments it was desolate but they had music playing which helped dramatically
Finisher Medal was cool. and i still wear the swag to this day.
The expo at the finish was better then most

I wasn't expecting it to be as good as Chicago but it was
Small rolling hills around lakes and all the neighborhoods of the twin citys was a great distraction
Its cold so bundle up it was 37 when we started, but the chicken broth at the end was amazing

I recommend

Listen to everyone when they tell you to take it easy on the downhill portion of the race. It will destroy your quads. cant say it enough. It was like a dream crusher.

Beautiful paths and scenery.

the 40 min bus ride to the start wasn't as bad as anticipated

Great Destination Race. so much to see and do in town.
