I’m so excited & sad about my last race of 2018! I’ve gone from 2 5Ks last year to doing 6 this year!! I’m happy the Run Denver Series ended my year on a high note! It was a COLD but sunny day, the course at City Park was great, one of my favorites to run & I just love MY beanie swag & medal! This was one of my favorite medals ever! The next 5K in the series is in January the Polar Bear 5K & I cannot wait to continue my medal collection & create the finished ultra medal at the end of the series! It will be a Colorado mountain range! Perfect to commemorate where my 5K journey began! Thank you Run Denver Series for having me & my Penn State buddy! See you in January!

I ran the Hot Chocolate for the first time as my first 5K in 2017 and again in 2018. It will always hold a special place in my heart. The race is super easy and great for beginning 5K-ers. I love the amount of energy that surrounds the race, I love running in downtown Denver and the jacket you get each year is amazing! I use it for the rest of the year!

This was my 3rd 5K ever and first one running without friends. When the forcast was called for lots of snow and a temperature of 21 degrees, I almost talked myself out of it. I arrived at Stapleton park and found a parking spot right away and pretty close. Heaters were provided and there were tons of tents to check out. The start was a bit tough getting use to the snow, but the course ended up being really easy and the snow turned out to be beautiful to run through. I LOVED the cute Brunch medal and swag bag at the end. I cannot wait to participate next year when I can stay and enjoy the brunch a bit more! Two thumbs up! Great way to pull it out in the crazy weather!

I found this race last year as my second 5K. I love running 5Ks and pie is my favorite food, so this seemed like the perfect fit! I live near City Park and love the scenery at this time of year. The race is a nice easy pace, great energy from fellow runners and of course PIE at the end! I love the medal and cherish it as my very first one ever! I cannot wait to run it again in 2018! Make sure you arrive early, parking is tough around the park!
