This is my favorite race of the year. I've ran this race 5 times before this one and it's my favorite race of all time. I look forward to it every year. It's a unique 7-mile distance, that is a pure out and back. The course has 3 significant hills: Brady Street at the very beginning, McCllellan Blvd that you hit twice (once on the way out and once on the way back). The entire course is LINED with spectators. There are approximately 15,000 people that run it every year, but the do not do a waved start. This year I was able to get into the section that is directly behind the elites, and it was amazing. Much different experience than being in the other sections that are incredibly cramped and difficult to make it up the hill in any decent time.

Overall, it's a great race and I strongly encourage ANYONE to run it!
