This is my third year doing this race. I did 10 km and half-marathon races first and second time respectively and decided to pick this race for my first full marathon. This event is getting better with each passing year and attracting more runners.

You start from downtown Halifax and go straight to Dartmouth via bridge and get an amazing view of the city. There, you run in Shubie Park, exit to the main road and run on the very steep Maple Street and head back to Halifax via bridge again, where you run along with the 10 km runners. In Halifax, you run back to start line, go up north, head down to dockyards, run south to Point Pleasant Park with another great view of Atlantic Ocean and then finally run to the finish line. So you get a great city tour during this run.

There were not much food options left after I finished but there were still plenty of fruits, chocolate milk, and juices for a quick post-race fuel. Water stations were plenty and the people were amazing. Expo was also lots of fun and so much to do there. All in all, a great race experience and I would love to keep doing it every year.
