I really enjoyed how this rave had multiple distances you could run or walk. Each distance you achieved would allow you to unlock another "level" to achieve next. It was a fun incentive to continue to do each distance so you could obtain the bonus level! It was fun to do and talk to my kids about each time I completed a level. I am not a huge virtual race fan, but this one I would do again! The race swag was pretty awesome too!

I absolutely loved this race! It was very well organized and when the heat index went up, they made sure to be fully prepared for the runners. The route was a beautiful tour through downtown Chicago and the Spectators were amazing! They did a great job with setting up fueling stations, having sponges for the athletes to help from overheating as well as having hoses spraying us throughout. I loved the whole feel of this event and would highly recommend for others to run it!

This was a great race! I love the races Scallywompus puts on. They make sure there's plenty of water, neat race swag, starts on time, fun photo back drops, and overall they're very well organized. Also, they have great food at the end! This time they had sausage on a stick hot off the grill, Barley Pancakes, Beer, Blueberry Vodka Lemonade, Raspberry Vodka Lemonade, many different fruits to choose from, and of course water.

Overall the course was a great one. It was hilly, very well mapped, and beautiful scenery of Wild Flowers throughout the Texas Hill Country. I did the half marathon, and thought the hills were a great challenge, but not too challenging. I was happy with the amount of water stops they had and how friendly the volunteers were who passed them out. They also had Gatorade. They had plenty of porta potties too for those that needed to stop.

I would highly recommend this race to others, and I will be running it again!

This was a fun run! It was on the smaller scale, but has been going on for 10 years. The route is a double loop through the beautiful Castle Hill's neighborhood. They have older gorgeous homes to look at.There were a few slight hills, but nothing bad. The course marshals were great and everywhere directing us. We had several people cheering along the way too! At the finish they had some race food goodies and water. There were only awards for the first place winner in each age group, which was fine for me! I won 2nd in my age group and 6th overall, so I didn't get an award, but my son did! He won 1st in his age group! For any new runners or someone just wanting to have a fun low key run, this is great! I will definitely be back next year.
