The race course is about as flat as you can get. The problem with this race for me is the heat and humidity on Labor Day weekend. The Race asks locals to park at the amphitheater and arrive by 4:30 am for a 7 am race. Yikes. Takes only 15-20 minutes to get to the beach so you had 2 hours to stand around. Drive yourself there! This year water was a problem at the aid stations. With 20,000 runners the volunteers couldn't keep up and i was nearly dead at the finish. This race should start NLT 6 am due to the heat and humidity. It is a fine race but to me it is way overcrowded and too humid for me. Won't do this one again.
