Awesome race in Central Park. NYC is a great place to travel to with literally hundreds of things to do. Race course is difficult with several hills throughout. Weather was warm especially for January. No shirt for this race but you get a ski cap which was nice. You have to pick up the packet on 59th Street. Would run this one again.

Really pretty country race through the wine country of Oregon. Was able to do this race with my daughter who was running her first half marathon. Course had one monster hill at mile 4 and had rolling hills throughout. No crowd support except at the aid stations. Medal was plain. Really boring. No shirts. You could buy one for $20 cash only. Sucked because they had no ATM anywhere near the school. Would choose a different race for Oregon.

OK race in an OK location. Course is mostly downhill to flat and is run at a great time of the year in early November. Not very pretty location. Hamilton is an industry town with lots of smoke stacks near the downtown area. Race shirt had to be one of the ugliest/busiest shirts i have ever seen and i wouldn't wear it anywhere. Expo also didn't have much in the way of a different shirt but was able to get some nice mittens from the Running Den. Finish line location is set against Lake Ontario and you could see Toronto in the background. Area is great to go to Toronto for the day and a visit to Niagara Falls is must since it is real close. The race itself is good if you are going for a BQ but for those who are looking for a pretty race in Ontario i would recommend doing a different one maybe Toronto itself.

One of my favorite races. You can't get any more Americana that this race. Set on Route 66 in Kansas and ends in Missouri. Can't say enough good things about this race. You actually get to run 10 miles of the half on the actual Route 66 unlike the Route 66 race in Tulsa where you don't. If you do the marathon it starts in Oklahoma, goes through Kansas, and finishes in Missouri. Course has 2 major hills on it and most people walk at least a portion of them. Weather can be warm for this race but i really enjoyed this race. Take your time and explore the history of Route 66 while you are in the area. This is race i would do again in a heartbeat.

My first race run in Canada and it was awesome. Tempertures that time of year are in the 50s so it is cooler than just about anywhere in the USA. Made for a great race. Expo was small but had a couple of good stations that featured Canada on the shirts along with books on the inspirational Terry Fox who ran halfway across Canada on one leg before getting cancer again. Course was flat and ran through the city and some beautiful neighborhoods. Would definitely run it again.
