When I looked at the elevation profile for this race, my first thought was: I MUST GO!
The course is an absolute beauty!
The pre-race communication from the organizing team was great. I had no issues at all with picking up my race number and it was done very efficiently.
I definitely would have ran a personal best if I ran the corners properly. The second half of the race felt like a very gradual and enjoyable downhill-I was cruising! The crowd was pretty awesome too and the aid stations were very efficient. :) Also, FREE race photos-which is amazing!!
I definitely want to come back and do it again!

I've run the Goddess Run for many years in a row now. I believe my first one was in 2014, and I've ran it in 2015, 2016 and 2017 as well. I always enjoy the atmosphere at the race because it welcomes runners of all levels. It's a great run to do if you have never done an organized race because it's a very comfortable environment to be in. The race does have some challenging hills in it,so it's not a personal best type course, but it's a lot of fun.
The expo is smaller but it's a good thing because you get to go through the whole expo and talk to everyone without taking the whole day to do it, which is what I like. It's very efficient.
Overall, I've always enjoyed it every time I've ran it.

I've always wanted to race in the Caribbean. Prior to signing up, I saw the results from the previous years and I thought that I had a good shot at winning.
The hotel was expensive and so was the flight there (coming from Canada and the US dollar being high at the time in 2016).
I wasn't prepared for how dark it was at the start, that was a huge shocker. The first 5k, I had to go very slow because I didn't have a headlamp and did not want to wipe out. Then, it slowly started to get lighter out and I was able to pick up the pace. However, I still could not go as fast due to the heat and humidity (as is expected for the Caribbean).
The expo was very small.
However, the scenery was beautiful, once it got light enough to see around me. If you're looking for a PB and you're from anywhere North of California, it will be a tough go. I got passed by a guy wearing a pirate costume at about the 18km mark! HAHA However, if you are looking for a fun run, where you don't care about a personal best, then this will make for a nice and healthy and active vacation.

The Boston Marathon was a race that I've been wanting to do since I was 15 years old and first saw it on TV. Then, in 2015, exactly 10 years later, there I was, at the start line of what I believe to this day was my greatest accomplishment in running. Although the weather was not great on that day in 2015, the spectators and the volunteers made it an amazing experience!

This is one of the best Marathons in Western Canada and I've run the marathon 3 times in total. I got my personal best 3:18 in 2014. I've qualified for Boston on this course every time I've run it. If you’re thinking about doing a marathon, the Goodlife FitnessVictoria Marathon is a great race for you to enter. The course is awesome and the race is very well-organized. Victoria is a gorgeous city and a world-class tourist destination. Can you think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than to do a long run through the wonderful capital city of beautiful British Columbia?
