The Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k its one of my favorite races in San Diego, mainly because is the only race my husband will run with me. Who doesn’t like chocolate? lol!
Here is the romantic Story:
On Wednesday I arrive from Oaxaca so I told my husband if he would like to run the hot chocolate with me he agree and I signed him up. I was super excited because Bibrave gave the opportunity to run this race and my hubby was joining me on this chocolate adventure.
Did you know that Hot Chocolate 15k/5k send you a training plan every week? Isn’t this awesome!
Expo: Smooth and easy to pick up bib number you download the code on your phone and that it. No need to print anything. we got our beautiful sweater/jacket and bib number, walked around too greet people and vendors and finally took some pictures.
Race Day: I run 15K and husband 5k. he did amazing he finish faster than I thought he will!

Thank you Hot Chocolate 15k/5k for another amazing, friendly super organized and cool swag.

Known as the World’s Fastest 5K, race weekend, an energetic an fun atmosphere for participants of all ages. Open to all, no excuses, everyone is welcome to run.

This past weekend I ran the Carlsbad 5000 for the second time. I arrived early at 7am to cheer up my friends even though my race wasn’t until 9:45. My age group was Women 39 & Under.

It was easy to find parking near the finish line and the start was walkable. However, there was no designated parking. You had to find parking in the neighborhood, residential area or nearest street.

I loved that I was able to pick up my Bib and packet the day of the race versus having to pick it up at the expo the day before.
This was a huge convenience because the drive to the race was 45 minutes from my house.

I picked up both my bib and shirt. Both were a classic and simple design.

After all the different age groups, it was time for me to run.
The course was a beautiful oceanside run but my energy was gone by mile 2. I tried to speed up but my legs didn’t hear me. I finished in 24:19. Not my best time, but I had so much fun.

At the finish line Meb was there socializing with runners and signinning bib number and medals. Of course I had mine signed. I admire this man. He is really humble. I’m glad he is the new owner of this race.

My friends and I took hundreds of pictures. We went to the beer garden and celebrated.
Here was another successful race that I am blessed to share with my friends.

Did I mentioned we got free photos?

Overall, the race was full of events with multiple age-groups and a memorable experience.
I totally recommend this race. You can’t beat the low price of this race.

AFC is a part of the triple crown and this amazing course takes you on a scenic tour of San Diego literally shows you the best spots.
I really enjoy every mile and the scenary was spectacular I love this race If I can run it every year I will but hoho man races are so expensive ....
8/20/2017 America’s Finest City Half Marathon-AFC 1:59:16 13.18 mi.
This was one of the races that I really Enjoy I run with out thinking bout a time, I did not watch my watch at all and I finish strong regarding the hill on the last mile.
something that I did not like was " the shuttle" they pick you up near balboa then they drive you to point loma and its cold really cold so you have to wait till the race so literally you are there for 2 hrs walking or warming up or killing time before the race. but overall its a great race ...

5 Years running this race Im officially a Legacy.
2013 -My first Half Marathon and I couldn't be happier a beautiful course, well organized, cold morning, you can feel the Christmas spirit so everyone is happy and glowing.
Is my favorite because the medals are amazing, big and beautiful. The quality of long-sleeved dry tech shirt its 100 % quality.
San Diego Holiday Half Marathon is a fast 13.1 mile course that starts in Rancho Penasquitos, travels along Carmel Mountain Rd (your only 'real' hill at mile 1.5), beautiful Torrey Pines State Beach. The race includes a 711-foot net elevation drop along the rolling ... this is a definitely a PR course.
12/29/13 1:50:25 this race its a must and if you buy it one year in advance is $69 + tax
