Best part of this race was the cheering of the giraffes, flamingos, and rhinos. Lots of short up and downs and very twisty. Still this is a new challenge and something different. Shirt and medals of high quality and were artistic. Great job on those. I never like garbage shirts and medals but this race has taken producing quality medals and shirts seriously

I say emotional as there are many injured soldier who run this race. We are running side by side with them. Some in wheel chairs, some amputees, some with crutches. It is strong of them to continue to be their best. Also a reminder of how conflict is a tragedy for all. Expo is very good, finisher medals are unique and they have a Commander challenge which is a 5 km and a 21.1 km. Unique again. Yes this is an excellent race in a beautiful city. Price is good too.

This is a great race. The race is along the Rideau Canal, a world heritage site. Well organized. People are great. My only complaint year after year with this race and any of the Ottawa Race Weekend races are the ugly shirts. Why bother? Material is brutal, graphics are horrible. Good only for washing the car. So why bother? May I suggest a singlet made of breathable material and a professional graphic artist?
In spite of bad shirts, race is a lot of fun.
