Last year was my 3rd time running the Glass City 1/2 Marathon. The course changed slightly last year from previous years but overall still in the same areas. The campus part of the course is nice then you get to run through some of the nicer neighborhoods in Toledo and part of the Metropark. It is a relatively flat course, a few more rolling hills with the new course but nothing horrible.

Parking is OK. I luckily have a friend who lives near campus so I can park at her house and walk to the start line. Weather wise is usually okay at this race. Always a bit nippy when starting but decent temperature for the duration of the race.

I loved the post race this year. The beer they served was phenomenal. I had a great time after the race with the entertainment. I also loved the medals they handed out this year. Planning on making this race my first full marathon next year!

This race is my hometown race. Some of the scenery isn't too exciting as there were lots of parts ran through not the best neighborhoods or through the highway systems. The last couple miles of the half marathon is ran on the hills of route 2 so it is quite boring but there is the lake to the north which was pretty to look at. The year I ran it was quite hot and humid and quite a few people were passed out but tended to quickly which was good to see.

The post race party was fun. The line for the beer was quite long, though, and only one beer ticket. With all the great breweries in the NE Ohio area I wish they had more vendors! I will be back to run this race again in the future!

This was such a fun race! My husband and I ran the half relay with another couple. The first leg was a bit boring since it was just an out and back but it passed through some beautiful neighborhoods and near Tulane. The expo was great and the swag was fantastic.

The post race party was the best part in my opinion! The band Kongos was the 'headline' act and they are one of my favorites. The local jazz bands they had too were fantastic. It was such a great time and the beer was free! I definitely plan to do this race again in the future!

I have run this half marathon 3 times. It is always a fun race. The course is definitely quite hilly but it is what it is! The swag is always great and I always really enjoy the expo.

One of my favorite things about this race is that it is on a Saturday so you get a day of recovery before returning to work! I look forward to doing this race again many times in the future!
