This race has been going on for more than 30 years, but I ran it for the first time this year and really enjoyed it. The course was flat and fast, with long straightaways at the beginning and end, but it also wasn't an out-and-back, which kept it more interesting. There was one water stop at the mile two marker. Parking was easy. Despite being a beach town, there was plentiful parking and parking is free till 10 a.m. (the race started at 7:30 a.m.). Swag was a beach towel, which I thought was great, since I have so many shirts. The beach towel was not the fanciest one I've ever received as swag, but the cost of the race was also not very high.
