This was my second race organized by All Community Events and I was very happy with it. As I mentioned in my other review, they are generally well organized with race day packet pickup (which I appreciate since sometimes getting a packet beforehand can be hard with a busy schedule), not too expensive registration fees, and generally not too crowded. There were plenty of porta potties for pre-race use, adequate aid stations with lots of volunteers, and a fun post race party with a band, beer, and food.
The course was a pretty lincoln park/lakefront course, my only problem was that the course went under the north avenue underpass which was filled with sewer water. It would have been nice if the course could have been re-routed, but I understand this is probably difficult to do race morning.
Overall a fun, flat, inexpensive, well run spring 1/2 marathon. A great start to racing season.
