10/13...one of the best days of my life. Very well organized expo, packet pick up system, amazing support system (over 1.8 million spectators cheering you on!) and a flat course which is a nice change of pace from the hills of San Francisco. The weather was PERFECT. It was 65 and sunny but it is Chicago in the fall so you never know what you are going to get, I just got lucky...the city loves its runners and I felt the incredible energy everywhere I went. I also loved the course....ive been to Chicago on business many times but never really got to see Chicago. I fell in love with the city and can't wait to run it again...

Side note - I ran with a charity team (The Ronald McDonald House Charities). If you think you are able to raise $1000 for the charity, I HIGHLY recommend you run with them. They have an amazing huge team of over 480 runners, a huge tent with food before and after the race. The tent also had sports massage therapists and champagne afterwards and a huge red carpet welcome. The volunteers stood there for hours clapping for finishers to come through...it was quite amazing. The also host a pasta dinner the night before that is not to be missed. Great organization that made my Chicago experience that much better.
