My experience at this race was great. The t-shirts are very colorful and fun to wear after the race. The expo is amazing and worth visiting early on so you can get your merchandise early. With a 5:45 a.m. start time it is a bit early for some people in my family, but I prefer having races done and over with early on in the day. The race stays on property and takes you through Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure so it is a fun atmosphere all the way around. There are many character stops along the way but sometimes the lines can be a little bit longer for the more popular characters. Disney does have a 16 minute mile pacing requirement and I have heard that they do enforce it during the 5k even though it is not an official timed event. I would highly recommend this race to both beginners and elite athletes. The only downside is that there is no official corrals so the walkers and runners are all lumped together at the beginning and there are sometimes some tight turns to navigate. All in all this race is amazing and a lot of fun. The medals are so cute!

This was my first color run of any kind and it was tons of fun! I am asthmatic so worried about running such a race. After contacting the customer service reps for this race, my mind was eased and I was ready to race. The powder is simply colored corn starch and is safe for people with asthma, expectant mothers and even people who are gluten free. The race course is very easy and you are surrounded by people who are simply happy to be out racing and getting covered in color. The color gets everywhere so be sure you wear something you want to be colorful. All in all this race was a lot of fun. Parking was very easy and you are given a t-shirt, color packet and tattoo at packet pick-up and a headband when you cross the finish line.

This race was so much fun. I am used to very strict Disney races so the leniency of this race was awesome. The flyer didn't lie about the fact that 80% of the race was near the ocean. We had the ocean in view almost the whole race, who wouldn't like that view? This race takes you all over Long Beach and around a number of attractions they have to offer (i.e. The Queen Mary, The Aquarium of the Pacific and Shoreline Village). The elevation change during this race is very small and at the beginning of the race so it is over with early on during the race. The course is pretty flat and would be awesome if you are looking to qualify for the Boston Marathon. The expo was a lot of fun and the merchandise was super reasonable. The medals are amazing and I was very proud to show mine off the rest of the day. The shirts that you get with registration are tech so you can wear them on your daily training runs. The one issue I had with this race is that you are on a beach pathway and we had regular beach traffic coming at us from both ways which caused a bit of an issue since those of us running didn't want sand in our shoes. All in all this race was a lot of fun and had amazing scenery!
