This is a great race on a super fast course that is obviously managed by runners. Nice rolling hills that slowly take you down in elevation. A decent sized race, gives you plenty of people to run with, but never that super congested feeling. Cool shirts and great medals. One of my favorite races, as long as the weather holds out. 90% of the time it is perfect early winter marathon weather.

Chicago is one of the best marathons in the world. Starting the race in downtown, circling back a few more times, and finishing back near Lake Michigan, this is a cool experience you cannot get anywhere else. There are tons and tons of people, so make sure to get your corral qualifier entered to move near the front. The back half of the course is pretty exposed and can be hot if the weather is sunny, but really cool race. Great expo too, a must do at least once.

A festive and fantastic 5k on July 4th with lots of fanfare and tons of excitement! Nice course, great parking, and tons of additions to make it not just a race but an event. Helicopters, people parachuting in, Wisconsin marching band, who knows what they will do next year. A must do if you are near the Fox Cities in July

The TC 10 mile is an awesome way to get all the excitement of the Twin Cities Marathon with a shortcut to the Capitol. Good crowd support, beautiful course, all the finishline support! Definitely sign up for the lottery to get into this race if you are not doing the full marathon.

They are not joking when they call this the most beautiful urban marathon in the country! It is a great sized race so you are always by people, but don't have the congestion of some of the super large races. Expo is alright, but the main event is a must do for marathoners in the Midwest. Nice rolling gentle hills are great on the legs, and finishing at the state Capitol in Saint Paul is really neat. Overall fast course, and has good pacer support. Beautiful, beautiful run!
