I have ran this CARA race for only two years but both times they have done a great job organizing the race. I love the fact that we run the Cricket hill (at Montrose). The race is part of the CARA circuit so competition is great. Racing on the Lakefront is nice because lots of runners cheer you as you go by. I like the distance, 10 miles, it is challenging but du-able.

I have done this run for three years. It is a fun event, a nice distance and great afterwords party. At the end you get Mexican food and beer. If you are gluten intolerant you will not be able to eat! (My case) but you still can fun while breaking piñatas! First three overall winners also get a fancy Mexican hat!

Soldier Field 10 miler is one of my favorite races in Chicago. It is well organize, a fast course and it ends inside Soldier Field. A great event for the entire family because while one is running the family can enjoy walking around Soldier Field, watching kids races and waiting to see their runners crossing the line on the stadium Video Boards! The post race party is also fun for everyone and parking is free! You do need to get there earlier to avoid traffic congestion into the parking lots.

I have ran this race for the last four years. I like the fact that men and women race separetely. The race is part of the CARA circuit competition so it usually brings a good groups of local competitive runners. I love the fact that I can compare how my running time compares against other women.
