This was a local race for me so I got to run my local roads, which was fun. I was disappointed in the size of the medal, because it was smaller than some of the 5 and 10k medals I’ve earned. The course is lovely, you get to run through part of downtown Milford and along the beach. The stretch to the Audubon center is farther than I thought! A good there-and-back (for the most part). The race was well planned but the post-race support was chaos. No organization for food or hydration and very few volunteers to help with pointing you in the right direction.

100% a winner! The course was breezy and open along the shore and coastal neighborhoods. Cool shirts and a cool finishers medal at the end! The medal is a big deal for me, and I’ll skip a race if I don’t like the medal. This one was a diving helmet, and it was so detailed and unique that I’m proud to show it off! A big perk is spending the weekend in Rhode Island and experiencing all the state and the city of Newport have to offer.

I did the Dopey challenge this year and I would love to do it again! What a beautiful and fun course. Support is bar-none and the experience of running through the parks is incredible. This was my first marathon and it has inspired me to try another one! The swag is great-Disney medals are always cool!
