The Buffalo half is a flat, fast half in downtown Buffalo and along the waterfront. The race has great shirts and one of the best announcers, Fitz Koehler! The medals are awesome every year and the course is well supported. Buffalo goes the extra mile when it looks like it’ll be hot with sprinklers, cool towels and sponges on course plus extra water.

Outside of the Disney races, this is the most fun and best organized race I’ve ever run. I did the flying pig half in 2013, 2014 & 2015 and each year it just kept getting better.
The hills are no joke. I don’t train on hills and I was hurting the next day, but the crowd support helps, especially Elvis on the way up. Lots and lots of aid stations, I think I counted 11!
The medals aren’t the biggest, but they’re dual sided and very detailed. The shirts are always cute and the expo is legit. A must do and I can’t wait to go back.

Truly a magical experience, where else can you run through a castle? Great shirts and medals, tons of water stops. There’s also lots of characters along the course where you can stop for photo ops if you’d like.
Relatively flat course with a few overpasses, finishing around the world showcase at Epcot. It’s the only race that goes through all 4 parks.
