Race Management

This is always a well-managed race in my opinion. It starts on time, lots of volunteers, the course is well marked. Aid stations are well-placed and well-staffed. The course is not beautiful but it's flat and fast and the local folks turn out in support fairly well. Having the start and finish at the University of Toledo provides plenty of parking and lots of space for the finish and post-race activities. The post-race activities, by the way, are great. Food is good, beverages are available, along with massages and other amenities. The pre-race expo is also well done and surprisingly complete for a relatively small race. I've been to much larger races that didn't have nearly as good an expo. New this year was having the 5K race on Saturday. This was great because it allowed runners to run two races and also gave the 5Kers more focus. It's a great running weekend in Toledo.
