I have run this race twice now and I am inspired by the people putting on this race and how they seem to really care about the people running it. I have done other 5K events that are put on in conjunction with their big annual marathon and noticed almost immediately that they put all their effort into the marathon and the 5K was just a little bastard project that didn't deserve the same attention. When I run the BAA 5K I feel like I have participated in a world class event, like I am running the Boston Marathon. By no means will I ever win this event but I truly feel like the administrators actually care that I enjoy my time participating in this event. I came in 310 of 375 in my age group, but I was treated like a human instead of a customer.
