This was a great local race to take part in. I ended up signing up the day of and it was super easy; I was even able to get a shirt in my size (which is very rare). The race was very well organized. It started it one vineyard, was on the road for about a mile, went through another vineyard, then came back out onto the road to finish out where we started. I didn't mind the road portion of the race at all because we still had the scenic view of the vineyards without having to run on the bumpy and mudding grounds within the vineyard itself. It was raining earlier that morning, so it was quite slippery to run on the grassy areas.

The finishing area was probably my favorite part of the race. There was live music, complementary wine, and lots of fun with friends! The SWAG included a long sleeve tech tee and a wine glass. Overall, it was a fun race and I would definitely recommend it to any wine lover out there!

This was my second time running the Rock N Roll Philly half. I had an awesome time running this one. Let's start with the expo. The expo was huge. There were tons of vendors, lots of giveaways, and fun things to do. I could've spent hours there!

On race day, the parking situation was a bit difficult, so definitely plan ahead and have someone drop you off or find parking ahead of time. The start area was very well organized, as were the corals. I loved how this race had bands along the course to keep the excitement going. There was a lot of crowd support until about mile 7, then the course went out onto the Kelly Drive/MLK loop. This part of the course can get a little boring, but the crowd started to pick up again about a mile before the finish. They also have an awesome and very organized finish area for anyone that wants to hang out and celebrate after they're finished the race!

The aid stations were great for the most part. A couple of times I had to run over to the table to grab a water for myself, just because there were so many runners and not enough volunteers, but not that big of a deal!

The SWAG was great- I thought the medal this year was really cool, as well as the tech shirt.

Overall, it was a great race and would recommend to anyone looking for a fall half!

This race, being just over a month after the Broad Street Run, is advertised to fit in perfectly to an extended training cycle. It did at that. However, if you're not used to running in the heat and humidity, this may not be the race for you. The weather was perfect for the first 2-3 miles, but super hot and humid by the finish.

It was a smaller race, so there were no organized corals. The race organizers just instructed runners to line up where they felt they should begin, which worked out fine. The course was very pretty, and I saw many parts of Fairmont Park that I've never seen before. However, it was VERY hilly. The final hill (in mile 12) was a killer, most runners stopped to walk at this point. Other than that, the aid stations were good, and the SWAG was great- one of my favorite race t-shirts and medals. The expo was at a bowling alley, but wasn't anything special. There were very few vendors, so I was in and out. The parking at the actual race was very easy, there was a lot of street parking close to the start/finish area.

Overall, I'd recommend this race if you're looking for a smaller, summertime half, and have been hill training!

This was my 3rd year in a row running Broad Street, and it's my favorite race hands down (I've done countless 5k's, 10k's, and Half Marathons).

Overall, this run can be a little packed in the beginning, since there are 30,000+ runners. Make sure to get there early and be ready in your coral. Since the course begins 10 miles from the start area, the race has a deal with the subway where if you park your car at the finish, you can ride the subway to the start area for free with your bib. This is super convenient and works flawlessly every year, with no issues.

SWAG- The medal is always cool, integrating some sort of bottle opener. The t-shirt however, could use some upgraded. This race tends to have a lower entry fee, so this may be why.

Aid Stations- There are plenty of aid stations, with TONS of volunteers.

Course Scenery- The entire race is on Broad Street, one of the major roads in Philadelphia, so it's very cool getting to see different parts of the city throughout the race as locals come out to cheer the runners on.

Elevation Difficulty- This course is VERY flat. Many say that it goes slightly down hill, which isn't noticeable, but there definitely aren't any hills making it a fast course.

Race Management- This race is very well organized, especially for its massive size.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this race.
