I thought this race was very nice. I usually run in the city, so it was really nice to run through the woods and through the hilly landscape. I think the runner's guide could have done a better job explaining where parking is. They included a map marking the various parking spots, but it would have been nice if they had included addresses of the parking garages and had signs directing to the them. The water stations were well placed and, although I didn't need to use the aid stations, it seemed like they were well dispersed, as well. Overall a very good race. I was also a huge fan of the freeze pops they had at the end of the race!

This was my first time running the Big Ten 10K. I thought it was very well organized. It was cool seeing all the runners wearing their t-shirts representing different schools. The medals are very cool. The medallion is very large and the ribbon changes depending on which school you represent.
As always, the Chicago lakefront is beautiful to run on.

The Rock and Roll series is always such a fun series. The live music that is played throughout the course is an awesome addition to the spectators already cheering.
Chicago is such a fun city to run through and I was a fan of the paramedics that were running the race, in case someone needed a medic and wasn't near the aid stations.
It also stormed during this race and the race organizers were great about getting runners to shelter

The Illinois marathon is always such a good event. The energy of the Champaign/Urbana residents and spectators is tangible and really helps the runner through his/her slumps. The scenery in Champaign isn't the greatest, but when the race runs through campustown it truly is a beautiful campus to see.
Crossing the finish line in memorial stadium is such an awesome experience! Go Illini!
