Had a great time here for my first run of the mini series. Had four friends run this race with me including my 67 year old father in-law. Everybody did well on the flat course. The management did well even when they had to cover with a recorded national anthem since their singer was caught in traffic. The two beer reward at the finish was nice as well. I can't wait to take part in the next two at Mass Ave and the Carmel Arts District.

This was my first half marathon and it was spectacular. The crowd was exceptional and the weather was perfect. Starting in corrals is a great idea and since I started close to the back I was able to see the elite runners coming in to mile 12 as I passed mile 2. It was a sight to see. I was also able to get my picture taken with Meb when I rang the PR bell. This course is flat and fast. Running around the track is a feat as it doesn't seem to get any closer, but doing a lap of the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway is worth the effort. The expo is quite large and there were many deals to be had. The after party was great and made it easy to find my family. I will be running this event for many years to come.

This was my first time participating in the Wheelee Mission Drumstick Dash and it was great. The 4.5 mile times course was wide open after the first half mile and each of the 19,000 participants were happy to be starting their Thanksgivng at this race. I also decided that I was going to Fund-Race and raised over $600 to help feed the homeless of Indianapolis. I hope to get a larger group to run with me next year, but my 18,999 friends sure didn't disappoint. There is also a shorter fun run that isn't timed if that is what you are looking for.
