Rock N Roll San Francisco was my first Rock N Roll race ever and I was not disappointed.

There was special pricing on this race so I signed up for it. For a half marathon to be under $100 is a great deal! The expo was great, it was smooth and there was alot of sponsors there that I can look at to see if I needed any last minute stuff or food. One of the booths, Represent Running held a Shake Out 5K in conjunction with my CRew, Concrete Runners so that was great & it was just around the block. I didn't run it because I had prior engagements. I brought my dad along with me and he was excited as much as I was because well.. there's free stuff! Who doesn't love free stuff!

The swag was good for this race. I got some free stuff from Toyota for owning one of their cars which was cool and there was the shirt & luna bars. The medal was great at the end as well. It is one of my heavy medals that I have on my race hanger.

Now for the race course. As you know San Francisco is definitely known for the hills. I have raced a few in San Francisco but this race has so many hills so be prepared but it was a great race because of the entertainment along the way. There were a few big huge hills the first few miles especially towards the 3rd or 4th mile then it was a mixture of uphill and downhill around mile 9-11 to go towards the finish line.

Access to the race was okay, just a bit traffic to get to the starting line at Ocean Beach. But the pick up at Civic Center is something different. I suggest you take public transportation such as Muni (Bus) or you can also opt for uber or lyft to Market Street because it is hard to get picked up by family at the Civic Center since there is no designation for pick up.

Overall, this would be one of my must do races of the year!

I love Disney. Plain and simple.

This is my second Disney race and I have not been let down. Registration goes out fast online seeing that RunDisney races are one of the most popular races that goes on every year. This year I opted for the 10K considering my cousins don't run and they wanted to come with me this year.

The expo was great. It was simple, fast and easy. BUT, you MUST pick up your own bib, you cannot have someone else pick it up for you so know that you're able to do this race when you sign up because you can't transfer it over to someone else.

When going up to the expo, there were so many sponsors to visit and I picked up some last minute energy goo and blocs since I know that I would be running out for the year. They usually have specials during these expos so I suggest you get some while you're at one. Disney expos are filled with Disney enthusiasts people and runners alike, there are alot of merchandise that you can buy while you're here as well. I was not disappointed with the expo as I kept on coming back for two days straight.

Parking is okay with Disney runs but I suggest taking ART which is their free shuttle to the start line at Disney race. You're definitely in good hands if you were to just take their shuttle. You let them know what hotel you are staying at at the transportation booth and they will point out the hotels, if yours is not a participating hotel, in the nearby area that you can wait and go for the shuttle. This is good for the whole weekend, so don't lose your ticket!

With the elevation, there is one big hill after exiting the Disneyland start line but other than that, you're good to go. It may be a bit frustrating only because people WILL be stopping to take pictures with characters, in front of distinct landmarks in Disneyland since you are going to be running the majority of the race inside the park so I wouldn't suggest trying to PR in this race because you tend to also lose the enjoyment of actually running inside the park.

The shirts are great but the medals are even better. RunDisney race medals are HUGE. One of the many reasons I love this race and I find that it is worth it. The management of the race is great, it was not difficult to find the start line and to find people afterwards.

I highly suggest running at least ONE Disney race!

This is my second year running this race and it is one of my must do races every year. Being from the bay area, I have been a San Francisco Giants fan my entire life. The excitement from everyone keeps me going throughout the race.

Signing up for this race was easy, online registration and then you have an option to have it mailed to you if you cannot make the expo. With the expo, it is a breeze to go through and if you cannot pick up your bib, you can have someone else pick it up for you as long as they have your confirmation email and photo ID. There were alot of sponsors for the race there from food and other races as other runner suppliers. The ushers were very helpful and it was not frustrating at all to get my bib.

As for elevation, it is along the Embarcadero and AT&T park so it is flat for the majority of the race which is what I love considering San Francisco is known for the dreaded hills. Parking is easy as well because since you start and end at the park, there is a lot that you can park it but it is $10. Or you can take public transportation into the city and to the park - Bart, Bus, Uber, Lyft. There are many options to get to the park.

The SWAG is one of the many reasons I love this race. You get a bobblehead, tshirt & food at the end of your race. In 2015, they added for those who are 21+ that you get free beer! And you can also buy tickets for their Runners Game Day later in the season for a discounted price. What could be better than that.
