I have run this race for the last 4 years and while my personal performance has varied (greatly) it is always an enjoyable race to run. The course is well marked and through a pretty part of town. It is a pretty crowed race, but very inspirational because there are always a number of first time runners. They also have some really great kids races and this makes it fun for the whole family.

The parking this year was not the best, but overall I would definitely run it again.

I have run this race 3 years now and the 2015 race was really great. They changed the course for this year and made the race a lot of fun. You get to run around the warning track of the UCF baseball field and around Brighthouse stadium. The race is well organized, the aid stations are plentiful and the race takes you all over UCF campus. (I am an alumni, so probably a bit biased on the course.)

They also have great kids races.

The only good thing about this race was watching the sunrise over the ocean before the race began. It went downhill from there.

The traffic getting to the race start was pretty bad, the lines for the porta-potties were long and the there was the course. At several points along the course, they sent you running through random parking lots to get the full 13.1 miles in. Then you hit almost 3 miles of running on the sand at just after mile 9. The hard packed sand, was not so hard by the time I got there and the soft sand getting too and from that part of the course was even worse.

There were plenty of aid stations along the course, but by the time I got to the end there were very limited food and beverage options left. I would have given anything for a banana or Gatorade, but only pizza, beer and water were left.

The medal was nice, but not worth it.

Who doesn't love to run hills in FL in July? That is what makes this race a ton of fun. It is a relatively hilly course in the middle of summer. You will be hot and sweaty, but it is a lot of fun. The race is well organized and there are plenty of aid stations.

The race course changed in 2015 and it isn't quite as hilly, but it is still a lot of fun.
