This is a race across and back the Golden Gate bridge, the iconic Californian landmark.
it's hosted by The Guardsmen, an all-volunteer organization that send 2500 disadvantaged kids to outdoor education programs and activities.

This past Sunday April 16th was a hot and sunny one in California. The 10k race began at 8:30 and off we went. It was exhilarating to say the least, the views from bridge both ways were astounding and I know I will return again.

There are 2 tight points in the race where everyone needs to funnel - at the on and off points, but it's fast, fun, challenging and beautiful. Can't wait to return.

I flew from Vancouver to Cleveland for this race and had an amazing time there.

Cleveland is a great city and hosts the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and lots of great restaurants and retail.

The race is well-organized and is very thematic - it is based on the movie and includes free admission to the house from A Christmas Story,

The 10k is an out and back and you start from the hard Rock Café, run to the house and back.

It. Was. Awesome.

I signed up for the 2016 race the very next day. It got me in the spirit of the season, people had a great time and there were lots of supporters along the way as well.
