This was my first marathon in 2013 and I have also run it in 2014 and 2015. I love everything about this race. There is entertainment and crowd support for ALL 26.2 miles, so much so that I didn't even need my earbuds. They have a great t-shirt and medal each year and a great expo. The finish-line party could be better--that is the food/beer selection could improve.

This race started in 2014 and I liked it so much the first year that I came back for a second year, and will continue to be back in future years. It is a flat, fast course and I PR'd both years. Close parking, great finish-line festival with craft beer, none of that miller lite or mich ultra crap. The race is big enough that you have people around you, yet small enough that you have that home-town race feel.

While parking is a challenge for this race both for the start and for your family to see you finish, the course is flat and fast and is a race that is close enough to home that I don't have a lot of expenses wrapped up in getting there. They have a great shirt and medal and I really enjoyed the expo. Dave's Running Shop does a great job.

I begrudgingly went to this race last year in exchange for my friend doing the Santa Hustle in Indy the next day with me. It turned out to be a hidden gem of a race. I totally had a blast and plan on making it my Christmas race each year. The hot soup and craft beer at the end are the best!

WAY too many runners for my taste! It took nearly 45 minutes just to get to the start line and there is a time cut off to make it to the bridge, which may be tough for many back-of-the-pack runners. Also, I didn't enjoy being elbowed in the boob and head constantly because we were so packed until about mile 15. Did a lot of bobbing and weaving because of the size of the crowd and ran 27 something. Last complaint is the hideous race shirt! It is a horrible colored brown turtle neck with yellow and white lettering.
On the positive, the marines were very encouraging and I enjoyed seeing them out on the course high-fiving runners. Also, loved the dunkin donuts at like mile 22 :)
