This race is a little different than most. First off you register for free at eventbrite. Yup, thats right, free. Your race entry is a canned good for the Christian Center, a local non-profit. Each year lululemon Park City fills their cars with much needed food for the local community.

Second, there is no timing mat, no chips and no clock. Just enjoy the run. Or if I may say so, just RUN for the LOVE of it.

Third, its the perfect Turkey Trot size if you ask me. Last year there were about 300 runners who showed up in the cold to start their Thanksgiving together. I love the excitement around a big race, but sometimes it is nice to just show up, lace up and run.

The course winds through a local neighborhood with the same start/finish for easy parking.

Local companies donate coffee and snacks to warm you up before you head on to your Thanksgiving festivities. And, as is always with a lululemon event, you never know what kind of goodies will be handed out to the finishers. Last year was a great truckers hat. One of the few race items I actually wear.
