Nice finishers medals. I did wish the remix medals were closer to the finish line near the regular finisher medals and it was a tad disorganized as far as locating the remux medals. There were definitely not enough Porta potties along the course and there were so many runners I felt like I was running through a Plinko game the entire 13.1 miles. There were parts of the course that were very dark and difficult to see. I know the organizers cannot help the weather, but it ended up being one of the coldest races I've run.

HF#12482 This is one of my all time favorite races! It was my very first half marathon and then it was my Half Fanatics qualifier race. Some hills but not anything crazy. The scenery is beautiful, the course is well marked, plenty of aid stations, great finishers medals and lots of yummy snacks and treats at the finish line including fresh grilled cheese sandwiches and cinnamon chip bread from the local bakery! Admittedly I'm somewhat biased since I am an Alaskan! I would recommend this race to anyone wanting to visit Alaska.
