My very first Marathon and I loved it! I love races anyway so I expected to love this one. Most important for a first time marathoner: No option to downgrade to a half! Holds your foot to the peddle! GREAT crowd support! More than enough fueling/water/Gatorade stops! Parking was a bit confusing with the 10k going on at the same time and with a different start area...could confuse some to park close to 10k start rather than MCM start. A few hills in the beginning and at the very end but very flat race. We lucked up and had very good weather. No complaints and will be doing this one again!

This is my second year running this race. Moved here Oct 2014 and found out about it a few days before. Signed up, ran and AG placed! Great race series. Very hilly area but you get used to it if you train on hills. No expo, just pickup packet from fitness center on base. The run is on base so will need access to base, they work that process at the gate so no worries there. Parking is plentiful. The October race is dog friendly and it's encouraged to wear a Halloween Costume so good to get kids involved. We get a tshirt with all pre-registrations. Only $15 if you register in advance for a single race. You can also pay for all the races in the series for a discounted price, not sure how much. $25 for race day signup and no guaranteed tshirt. There is usually one to two water/Gatorade stations set up and folks placed along the course in case you need medical attention. The only thing that irks me is they tear off the number on your bib once you stop running...I'd like them to back up a bit because often people are running their hardest and an immediate stop and wait for them to tear can be very detrimental to the heart rate...health. Overall though a good series and I can usually do four a year for good speedwork. Oh, they give a medal if you AG place.

This was their 4th year with the half added and my first year running it. It was a very well run race and has great growth potential! I actually don't remember aid stations along the course, I didn't use any of the stations. The weather was ideal for a race even with the cool overcast. Great scenery as usual through DC. The expo was small but had all of the happenings of a big expo. Parking was easy for the expo and easy for the race because it was a small race...with growth though as expected parking will be hectic in DC....just comes with the territory. Good long sleeve tech-t, it's big so go one size down. It's a flat race; much of the course mimics MCM minus the couple of hills at MCM. Good festivities after the race and great energy before. I will do this one again in 2016!

Started in the Naval Academy stadium parking lot...did not like that at all. It was the longest start ever. We just weaved through the parking lot for about half of a mile before we were out on the street. I don't think that makes sense at all. Other than that the swag is very good. Expo very good as well. Rolling hills but it's what you can expect for this area. Parking was very easy, parked in the lot ran through the lot LOL! Weird. Annapolis is beautiful so running through it is always beautiful.
