I knew going into this race that I wasn't going to get a PR so I planned on just running and enjoying myself.

The race was nice with some great crowd support. You ran in what felt like just about every part of the city.

Towards the end of the race the only thing that was my mind was the huge bling that would be waiting for me at the finish line and boy was it huge.

The after race party was very nice and held in a great location that was not far at all from our hotel. I would totally recommend this race just for the bling.

A race to check out!!

The Flying Pig probably has one of the best expos I have been to yet. Lots of goodies, swag and P&G hands out lots of samples. Many other races are there handing out discount codes and information. Tons of vendors and many of them local like my favorite headbands, Sweaty Bands.

The Flying Pig marathon should be on everyone's list of races to run. The race director is awesome and she goes above and beyond to make sure the runners have a wonderful experience and that is just what I had.

I wasn't planning on running in this race, but after my first marathon just a few months earlier I thought what the heck. We had a great group of runners in my area who ran part of the 5k, 10k, relay, half and full together. Typically is has always seemed like it has rained during the Flying Pig, but this year it did not, but instead it was hot hot hot. I felt like bacon when the race was over. The course does have some hills in it, but if you hill train it shouldn't be so bad. The crowd support is amazing. People from NKY and Cincy line the streets and really help keep you motivated. There are a few spots understandably that don't have a crowd, but it is not bad at all.

Once the race is over they have a great area for you to grab some soup, bagels, bananas and so much more.

I would totally recommend this race. Fly little piggies fly!!

This was my first marathon and I think I picked a great one to start off with.

The whole experience of this race was pretty nice. The expo was not bad. It was maybe medium size compared to some of the sizes of others I have been to. We got a long sleeve tech shirt and a pair of gloves. The gloves were much needed because it was cool that day.

The course was pleasant with some hills, but I hill train so I didn't think it was that bad. I did note that there was not much crowd support from what I can remember. The course took you downtown and the only possibly drawback would be that this is a double loop course, but since it was my first marathon I didn't find myself getting bored or caring that much. After the race you got an awesome medal that was the Benz logo and a hat that stated you were a 26.2 finisher.

The after race expo was nice and they had free beer and coke products and free BBQ!!

Overall I really enjoyed this race and was happy I picked this one to be my first full marathon.
