The expo experience was pretty cool. It is located downtown at the convention center. There many vendors there with lots of free things for the kids to help cheer on Mom or Dad.
This race is an emotional one. It is sponsored by Nationwide Children's Hospital with each mile represented by a Children's Champion. These kids are out cheering on the runners at each mile. I gave as many of them a high five as I could. Runners have the opportunity to raise money for these kids and the hospital.
The city is beautiful and the crowds where awesome for 26.2 miles. This was my first marathon. I chose it because of the elevation levels. The last six miles were mostly down hill. I ended up really needing that. I recommend this race for first time runners like me.

If you are ready to challenge yourself this is this race for you! The Amish Country Half Marathon isn't an easy course, but don't let that keep you away. The countryside is breathe taking with Amish spectators lining the route cheering you on as you run.
The race is well organized with plenty of goodies and an awesome finishers medal. The only thing I would suggest to the race organizers is to play the National Anthem before the race.
The hills in this race come as advertised. You won't break your personal record. This could be the toughest half marathon you'll ever run. The Amish Country Half Marathon is challenging, but well worth the journey.
