I struggled with putting NO on "would you recommend this race to a friend?" . This could be a pretty cool event if some things were changed for future half marathons.

I realize that It was the first time the half mary was introduced to the running lineup. But it seemed as if the organizers thought that you could just add a half mary on top of the existing 10k and not think of the exponential consequences and logistics. Overall a great race. The setup is great. It's on the beach! Both the expo and race. There's a small segment where it's meh... but overall, it's a great race. The race was very well organized, the volunteers were awesome...and the party was a blast. If you're looking to PR or BQ, this is the one to get!

I was dealing with an injury for this race. However, there were some things that were negatives on my list. No electrolytes on the course until mile 12. I didn't like running through the airport, by the rental cars. I certainly didn't enjoy getting sprayed by water. I did like the start and the end though.
