Topping the 10K list for the second year in a row is the AJC Peachtree Road Race. This 4th of July event is the largest 10K in the US and is regularly touted as the best Independence Day “parade” around! First arriving on the Atlanta scene on July 4th, 1970, this race serves everyone from top elites to first-timers. Runners love racing in costume or just mixing in with the bustling crowds.
“An awesome LARGE race that becomes a giant street party!”
With an annual t-shirt design contest, post-race Coca-Cola, and the always challenging “Cardiac Hill,” this race serves up a slice of patriotism pie with a side of true Georgian spirit!
