When the entire town looks forward to Marathon weekend, you know it’s going to be a party! That city support and enthusiasm is definitely why so many people travel from across the country to Duluth, MN - a small town in northern Minnesota with a robust running tradition. With a reputation like Grandma’s Marathon has, we weren’t surprised to see them named #4 on the list of the Top Marathons in America.

This race is one of the best in the country, hands down.

Grandma’s Marathon lives up to its reputation with great race support, beautiful views along Lake Superior (the largest freshwater lake in the world), and a ROCKIN’ post-race party that draws all the locals to cheer on (and party with) the runners. Given those visual perks, it also makes sense that Grandma’s also made it onto the Top 10 lists for Best On-Course Scenery and Exception Race Management.

Simply put, you’ll be hard pressed to find a more-welcoming, more universally-loved race than Grandma’s Marathon. And, if you are looking to run the #3 Top Marathon on this year’s list (The Boston Marathon) Grandma’s Marathon is known for being a great place to snag that BQ!
