Out of town race and we could not have picked a better hotel. We were right at the start line, which was awesome due to the very cold 29 degrees. This was the most convenient start to a race I have experienced.

The race was scenic, got to run and a small section of Route 66 which was a great photo op if you were up for it. I felt the course was mostly flat, my friends said hilly so not sure! Had the great option of earning a medal to take a detour that made the race a min ultra at 26.5ish miles. Great race and perks for Marathon Maniacs including your a MM medal. Also heard that first time marathoners got a commemorative medal also.

You got a jacket for running the race, but had to purchase a finishers shirt, which I have never known before. I was last to finish and I am so glad my friends ahead of me found this out and purchased me one as I am collecting 26.2 shirts for a quilt.

Aid stations and general support was the best.

The expo was small and a little disappointing. Lines for packet pick up were LONG but seemed to move quickly.

A great race that would make runners of all abilities happy!
