This is in a very small town in Arkansas, so it's not super-easy to get to unless you live in Arkansas or a neighboring state. That being said, it's well-worth the trouble to get here. The expo was at a school and was quick and easy. Race morning was chilly (31 degrees) but good for racing. The course is along quiet country roads with a downhill start that you don't have to run back up. After the fast downhill, the course is flat and never crowded. You pass some farms and rural houses and there are a couple of views of the water. It's not terribly scenic but that's not why you're running this race. You run it because it's fast. Volunteers and aid stations are plenty but there are almost no spectators (as you'd expect for a small race). The medal was enormous and the shirt was a long-sleeve technical shirt. There were the usual race finish foods at the actual finish but at the school where packet pickup was there was even more food like sausage biscuits, pizza, soups, coffee, hot chocolate. If you're looking for a fast race in a small town and would like to cross Arkansas off your list, I highly recommend this one.
