There was a smaller crowd this year as many may have thought this was the previous company who did not follow through on their commitment to donate the funds to a local charity. However, there was still an okay turn out and the music kept everyone motivated from start to finish. Port o potties were disgusting and wafted in the heat. Small vendor village with merch tent and a few sample booths with iced tea and granola bars. Some nice photo op locations and great views of Lake Ontario and downtown Kingston. Good family friendly event and for those who enjoy running or have never been to the Fort. Easy terrain that loops through the Fort and back around the fields. 5 colour stations at each kilometer. Nice finisher medal. Heats released every few minutes to avoid overcrowding. Small gifts are tossed out to participants at the start line so keep to the front or wast sides where the MC can see you. Free parking close by. Dry colour packs given at finish line. May be our last year participating, once you have done it, no big draw to repeat it.
