For once, I didn't feel like I needed to bundle up in 42 layers to run this race! Normally, the temps rance from -4 to about 15 degrees for this race. Thankfully, mother nature decided to play nice this year! It was 33 degrees outside when the race started! I was actually OVERDRESSED this year!

Overall, packet pickup for this race is always a breeze (espeically if you come on Friday night!)

The only drawback is the parking! I have found that if you don't get there early on the morning of the race, parking can be at a premium! This year, a friend of mine actually parked down at Voyager Park (3-4 blocks from the start line/packet pickup) and that seemed to be her lucky spot! The parking lot by Shopko and the adjacent strip mall tends to fill up quickly, so word to the wise... get there early, or plan on parking down at the park and walking up to the start line!

I really do enjoy this course, a nice blend of quiet through the Arboretum and then residential streets, winding down through Green Isle park and then back through the same residential streets to a nice downhill stretch leading up to the final blocks of the course.

I think this was the 3rd time I have run this one. I ran the 15k once and the 5k once. Will I do it again? I guess that depends on Mother Nature!
