The expo was very large and offered a lot of junk for those interested including specialty UA gear. The shirt was (eh) OK. Like long sleeve, but didn't love the logo (a bit too busy, so gave it to my dad).

The Race: Easy parking and if the port a johns were filled you had the expo and hotels to make your move.

Got with the 1:35 Pace Team and off we went. Started at 6 AM and while running in the dark was a bit tricky, there was a pretty full moon, so it worked.

Two uphills early going over a bridge (back and forth) but other than that pancake flat and fast.

Lots of aid stations, well attended and time markers around every mile or so it seemed.

Once you make the final turn and it is a straight 5 mile or so blast to the finish it kind of all comes together.

Beautiful area, decent crowd support, GREAT finisher medal (really top notch in the photo obviously the pirate themed one) and while i skipped the after race party i am sure it was fine.

I would give this a solid A- and say it is well worth running.

Lastly, Meb was there to give a little pre race up and at em speech, so bonus points for that.
